CLUB COLLAR

HOW TO WEAR IT

The club collar presents a shorter width than the Forward Point collar, along with the trademark rounded edges which pair beautifully with the much sought collar pins and tie. The Club should be worn solely with a tie and is able to adapt to variety of ensembles, from preppy to formal (in this case opt for a contrasting white version).

Background

A most welcome comeback courtesy of the recent revival movement menswear has experienced in recent years, the club collar is one of those iconic elements of men's fashion that luckily prevailed to current days. In fact, not only did it withstand the test of time, it's now back in full strength and gathering supporters from all ages and styles due to its trademark vintage feel (thank you Boardwalk Empire). Story tell that its origins date back to the 19th century, when Eton College altered the standard point collar to create a unique trademark for its student's uniforms, thus imbuing it with somewhat of an elitist connotation associated with high society Eton students.
